asked questions: Can I pick up my skis at one location and drop them off at another?
Yes, at any of our on-mountain locations (Main, Canyon and Eagle Lodges, and the Mountain Center @ the Village). There is a small fee for drop-offs at the Mammoth Mountain Inn, McCoy Sports @ the Village and Juniper Springs Resort.
Can I exchange my ski rental for a snowboard rental?
Yes you may exchange your skis for a snowboard or your snowboard for skis. There may be a price adjustment.
Do you rent helmets?
Yes, most of our stores rent helmets for juniors and adults. Helmets are required for all children 12 and under enrolled in Ski and Snowboard School lessons.
What do I do with my skis at the end of the day if I am skiing the next day?
For your convenience all on-mountain rental shops provide a complimentary ski check. Space can be limited and is operated on a first-come first-serve basis.
How long will it take to get equipment?
It usually takes from 30 minutes to an hour to get fit with the proper equipment.
Do you offer a Ticket + Rental package?
Sorry, we do not package lift tickets and rental equipment together. However, we sell lift tickets in our rental shops to save you the hassle of going to two separate locations.
Do you offer rental discounts?
When you pre-pay for three consecutive days we offer a 10% discount off the total price. Five consecutive days gets 20% off. Multi-day discounts are valid for adult rentals only; unavailable during the following 2007/08 holidays: Dec. 22-Jan. 5, Jan. 19-20, Feb. 16-18.
When will I pay for my rentals?
Payment is required up front for rental equipment. Adults receive the multi-day discounts mentioned above by pre-paying for the total number of days you are renting.
What if I cannot decide how many days I will be renting?
If you are not sure how many days you will rent equipment, simply pre-pay for your first day. If you decide at the end of the first day to add more days, return to the rental desk to pay for any additional days. Please note, the multi-day discount is only available when three or more consecutive days are paid for together up front.
When should I return my skis/snowboard rentals?
Please return your rental equipment at the end of your last day. For your convenience we allow returns to come in up to 10am the following morning. To avoid an additional charge please return your rental equipment by 10am.
What happens if I return my equipment early?
Sorry, no refunds or credit vouchers will be given due to wind, weather or snow conditions.
