Mammoth Mountain Ski & Snowboard Teams

MMSST

Mammoth Mountain Ski & Snowboard Team (MMSST) is one of the premier snow sports programs worldwide, certified gold by the US Ski and Snowboard Team. Having won the 2019 US Ski & Snowboard Team “Club of the Year”, we pride ourselves on producing both world-class champions and weekend rippers alike. While learning the fundamentals of skiing/riding in a fun and supportive team environment, our athletes learn how to set and achieve personal goals both on and off the snow.

Mammoth Unified School District (MUSD) FLEX Program

Mammoth Mountain Ski & Snowboard Team has collaborated with Mammoth High School to provide an innovative option for flexible learning and independent study. FLEX allows student-athletes to attend a public school that offers high-quality education along with the scheduling flexibility needed to thrive on snow.

How FLEX Works

The FLEX program is open to any MMSST athletes enrolled in Mammoth High School. There are no additional fees for FLEX as MHS is a public school. FLEX combines online coursework with credentialed classroom teaching to offer a unique blended learning environment. School counselors work with athletes to develop a customized schedule to meet each student's academic, training, and competition needs. Standard, advanced, and AP classes are available.

College Credits

In partnership with Mammoth's local Cerro Coso Community College, FLEX students can take a range of college courses during their high school years for transferable credits at 4-year colleges and universities. Motivated FLEX students have the option to earn both a high school diploma and an AA Degree at Cerro Coso simultaneously while still training for their snow sport full-time.

Activities

FLEX students are welcome to participate in all Mammoth High School activities, clubs, and sports teams. This includes running for student offices, school-sponsored trips, and dances. For more information, please visit the Mammoth High School website.

Colleges & Universities

Students from the FLEX program have matriculated on to some of the best colleges and universities in the country, from Arizona State University to Yale University.

Financing FLEX

The Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation (MMCF) supports the FLEX program financially through fundraising and memberships. MMCF works to support and motivate our youth through education, athletics, and civic responsibility by developing world-class athletic and academic programs for the kids of the greater Mammoth Community.

All MMSST athlete families are asked to support the MMCF by purchasing a family membership each year.
